CRT monitor disposal

CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) monitors are classified as hazardous waste by the Environment Agency.

All CRT monitors we do not reuse are properly consigned to a fully-licensed Waste Management site at our expense. As of June 2021, if you are recycling CRT monitors there will be a charge of £7 + VAT per screen. This is an at-cost price, and we reserve the right to change it without notice

There is no charge for TFT monitors or flat-panel televisions

When our driver and your representative complete the Duty of Care notice, a note will be taken of the number of CRT monitors we have loaded. An invoice will follow by email, payable by cheque or direct bank transfer.

To discuss and arrange fees prior to collection, call (01223) 473875 or email

What if my CRT monitors are so smashed they pose a threat to health?

If your CRT monitors pose a current risk to health (such as a smashed CRT tube or shattered glass front), we cannot accept them. If you are unsure, please contact us.
